Temperature regimes are determined based on heat gain from
solar radiation (shortwave input), heat exchange with the air
(sensible energy flux), heat loss via evapotranspiration (latent
energy flux) and radiation to the atmosphere (longwave output),
and heat storage in grapes and surrounding surfaces.

Hemispherical photograph calculation uses algorithms that compute
gap fraction as function of sky direction, and compute desired
canopy
geometry and/or solar radiation indices. For solar radiation,
rapid
calculation is often accomplished using pre-calculated lookup
tables
of theoretical or empirical solar radiation values resolved by
sky
sector or position in the sunpath.
We use Grape Eye View modeling of topography, wind, humidity and
temperature data to deliver grape cluster temperature Microclimate
analysis. Nanoclimate level (temperature variance within an
individual grape cluster) analysis is also available.
By connecting to your local weather station we can show you the
difference between the reported air temperature and the grape
clusters within a given vineyard block or sub-block. We deliver very
specific reports and analysis based on the variables that our clients
determine are most significant.

who want to know the thermal profiles within an individual grape
cluster. For example; surface grape Vs internal grape
temperature within a cluster.
