biology, microclimate characterization, and statistical analysis. He
worked over fifteen years at the Center for Conservation Biology at
Stanford University, authored more than 25 scientific publications, and
served as principal investigator for more than 40 grants and contracts

Paul M. Rich (PhD, Harvard University), Senior Scientist and Vice
President, has extensive research experience concerning ecology,
biogeography, microclimate, environmental modeling, and geographic
information systems (GIS). He was formerly a tenured professor at
University of Kansas (1991-2001) and GIS team leader at Los Alamos
National Laboratory (2001-2006), with more than 80 scientific
publications and 3 software packages. He served as principal
